Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as an anchor at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later became a morning news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. In Charleston O'Dell's reporting on the lenient police approach towards DUI cases resulted in an State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to states authorities again releasing the strictest guidelines regarding these cases. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell has worked working in Charleston as a reporter and co-anchor for the NBC Miami WTVJ-TV station prior to moving over to Access Hollywood where she is currently a co-anchor and correspondent during weekends. O'Dell is the anchor of choice at Access Hollywood. In addition, she contributes in NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She's covered the events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards, as well co-hosting Pre ShowArrivals shows at The Emmys. She also co-hosted the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
